Birmingham Mail – “..best coffee shops in Birmingham”

What fabulous news for us here at Diplomats Barista as The Birmingham Mail has named us on their list of the best coffee shops in Birmingham 😀. Could not be any more prouder.

Here is what they had to say:

The New Cafe in Town

Diplomats Barista

Two Snowhill , B4 6GA

A contemporary and minimal setting with plenty of natural light from the glass frontage. This new coffee shop, opened in January, also acts as an exhibition space for the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists (RBSA).

Award winning pies including a handmade beef and horseradish sausage roll from The Pie Creator (Nigel Craige) from Stourport.

It is being run on business weekdays from 7am-5pm by couple Mike Horry and Joanne McCarthy who says: “We are an independent café run by people who love their coffee but wanted a different style from the usual sofas.

“Knowing one of the artists from RBSA, we have forged links with them to use our wall space for the artists’ work and our venue as advertising for the society.”

Coffee prices range from £1.50 for an espresso to £2.50 for a cappuccino.

We have officially opened!

We have officially opened!

We would like to say a big thank you to all those involved in making our dream into a reality. It only seems like yesterday we were opening up our mobile coffee trailer at a Railway Station in the Cotswolds, 2007. Now seven years on and we have the coffee shop to be proud of.

We welcome you all to take a step inside our cafe and enjoy not only the quality Italian coffee but the RBSA artwork installed and the unique architectural design, which was a fusion of personal taste as well as the iconic style of the Snowhill building and inspiration of the pre-existing pipework.

We offer you a work space away from work, a space for meetings and a space to relax surrounded by superb art with FREE WiFi available.
Let us know how we are doing. Please fill in our short feedback form.
