With the new year approaching us at a rather quick speed here at Diplomats Barista we will be making some new year changes to our cafe. The change will be mainly with our art collection that our customers have enjoyed over the past so many months, we will no longer be showcasing artwork from the RBSA gallery but we have thoroughly enjoyed having the chance to share with our customers some of our nations talented artists and we will be sad to say goodbye to them.
Whats that we hear, a sigh!? Well worry not as we are in talks with with other artists and our walls will be seeing some more fantastic works of art. The change will be noticed once the new year settles in and we hope you pop in to come and see the changes whilst enjoying our range of delicious coffees, teas, juices and freshly prepared food.
We would like to thank the artists that have been involved with us from the start here are some the artists that helped brighten up the walls:
Come along and enjoy our new collection of art from Angela Dooley, a Landscape Artist who specialises in building reflections and David Harbon, who uses copperplate to make a very limited number of etchings. We still have pieces from Don Ratcliffe, who produces sculpture from natural material and Kevin Line, who uses charcoal to capture one of the most difficult subjects in art: the human face.
All are members of the RBSA, an artist-led charity supporting artists both at our cafe and at their gallery in St Pauls.
The Artists will be here from 5.30pm until 7.30pm, we will be serving sparkling wine & light snacks and look forward to seeing you.
We have been featured in the Birmingham Post! Take a look at the article on the link below.
A deal with the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists
makes the new venue at Two Snowhill unique
The article discusses our connection to the RBSA – Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. We are very happy with the feedback we have received from this promotion and welcome everyone to come and enjoy the artwork, for themselves, that is on show at our premises at TWO Snowhill.
We would like to say a big thank you to all those involved in making our dream into a reality. It only seems like yesterday we were opening up our mobile coffee trailer at a Railway Station in the Cotswolds, 2007. Now seven years on and we have the coffee shop to be proud of.
We welcome you all to take a step inside our cafe and enjoy not only the quality Italian coffee but the RBSA artwork installed and the unique architectural design, which was a fusion of personal taste as well as the iconic style of the Snowhill building and inspiration of the pre-existing pipework.
We offer you a work space away from work, a space for meetings and a space to relax surrounded by superb art with FREE WiFi available.
